
My Husband, son and father in law went to the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum last week and a fabulous time. The museum itself is in a 160,000 square foot airplane hanger on the former Lowry Air Force Base. The museum honors World War I aviators and over a million military men and women who served at Lowry Air Force Base. The museum has a large collection of aerospace history that spans over 70 years. There is also a space section of the museum as well that you can see an Apollo XV display, NASA Apollo Training Capsule and real moon rock brought my the Apollo 13. There are also a number if Educational programs that the museum offer through out the year.
Open Monday- Saturday 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5 pm
The prices of admission is very reasonable:
Adults: $9
Seniors: $8
Kids 4-12: $6
under 4 is free with parent
If you are military you get a $1 discount with ID

Tatyana. Looks like a great place to spend an afternoon. My brother in law was a Joint Star in the Military for 23 years, just retired - he used to be navigator in a plane. Now he has just purchased his own plane. He would absolutely LOVE visiting this place. Thanks for sharing!
