CROMWELL FIRE DEPARTMENT SELLING TREES AND WREATHS

CROMWELL FIRE DEPARTMENT

82 COURT STREET

CROMWELL, CT

VALERIE OSTERHOUDT

The Cromwell Fire Department is selling Christmas Trees and Wreaths on 82 Court Street. When I stopped by today, they had quite a few to choose from. They will be selling these trees and wreaths today, Friday, November 28th through Sunday, November 30th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Then again next week both Saturday, December 6th and Sunday December 7th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

I will highly recommend if you live in the area to check out these trees and wreaths. The money raised will help support the fire department.. You don't have to cut them, and I'm sure your children (if you have them) would love to pick one out.

For any size tree the price is $35.00. The wreaths start and $22.00 and go up to $60.00. You can get a plain and simple one.. all the way up to an elaboratedly decorated one. There is something there for everyone.

Imagine the smell of fresh cut balsam in your livingroom/or family room. Reminds me of the Christmas's gone by. So, stop by and check out these trees/wreath next time you are in the area.

Hi Valerie, very affordable trees this early in the season. It's great you point out these locations so if people read about it on your blog they know where they are. I like the fresh smell of the live trees and wreaths too.

Gary.. There is nothing like the fresh smell of cut trees.. brings back tons of memories when I was a child at Christmas.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

That's great to be able to buy your Christmas tree AND give back to the community at the same time!    I don't think I have ever had a live tree - but my sister has one every year!

Kara.. I grew up having live trees.. my father was adamant on that one.  Glad he was.. I love the smell of fresh cut trees.  If you ever can, you should try it once.. you'll be hooked.

Ok, I know I don't know you well.. and I don't want to be personal so you can tell me it is none of my business.  Please tell me after your recent legal issues this year (trying to put it nicely) that you have plans and have somewhere to go for Christmas.

Val-I remember growning up and you didn't have artificial trees at Christmas. You had to have a live tree. I also remember making ornaments to go on the tree. I still like making ornaments for my tree.

Every year we go to a tree farm not far and spend 35 -50.  Best part of Christmas for me.

Jack

George.. I might have to break down this year and buy one.  The operative word being "broke".. The tree in the box of mine.. doesn't light on one side.  Sounds like the Grinch.

Laura.. Seems that you and I have similar childhoods.  We always had a real tree... I think the fake ones back then looked like bottle brushes.  It's funny you mention that you still make decorations for the tree.. I do too.  :)

Jack.. That was my favorite part of Christmas when I was younger.. the smell of fresh cut trees... is a must at Christmas...
