Every year Milford hosts it's annual Sand Castle Contest at Walnut Beach in Milford, CT. Walnut Beach is located in a section of Milford called, Devon.
Participants and spectators gather around just after high tide to enjoy this spectacular event. Anyone can participate. You must pre-register to be entered as an individual or as a team by age group. Simple rules to this contest. The main goal is to just have fun. Only beach materials may be used to create your masterpiece in the sand. Once the contest is over spectators and participants slowly watch the high tide reclaim the beach and their sculptures. Sand Castle Contest dates and times vary from year to year. Check out The Milford Chamber of Commerce for specific dates and more information. Or email me at mailto:atihot@raveisre.com.
