Things to do this Fall in Northern Fairfield County

Autumn 2008 in Northern Fairfield County

1. Apple Picking - Bundle up! It's apple picking time! Blue Jay Orchards is now open for the 2008 season between 10am - 5pm until early November.

2. Wine Tasting - One of my favorite things to do! Discover Northern Fairfield County's beautiful vineyards and sample some of their fine wines. McLaughline Vineyards in Sandy Hook, Digrazia Vineyard in Brookfield & White Silo Winery
Sherman, Connecticut.

3. Walking, Hiking & Biking - Autumn is no time to stay indoors, not when it's such a fine time to take in the views that are particularly spectacular during fall foliage season. To name a few trails & parks in Northern Fairfield County: Bennett's Pond in Ridgefield, Dingle Brook in Newtown, Paugussett State Forest Park in Newtown, Squantz Pond State Park, Tarrywile Park & Mansion in Danbury, Bear Mountain Reservation in Danbury, Old Quarry Nature Center in Danbury.

4. Oktoberfest - Annual Oktoberfest Jazz concert at Danbury's Ives Concert Hall on October 31st.

5. Corn Maze, Hay Rides & Pumpkin Patches - Castle Hill Farm's Corn Maze will be open from September 27th to October 31st, 2008 & Pumpkin Patch will be open from October 4th to October 31st, 2008. Located in Newtown, Connecticut
