Last week at McCue Mortgage we held our 2nd Annual Mini Golf Fundraiser. Now this is not played on your ordinary mini golf course, it is held right in our office. Each hole is designed by each department, and is located in between their cubicles. They are very creative in creating their mini golf hole, and they are as tough if not tougher then the holes that you would have at a regular mini golf course.
The participants are Realtors, Attorneys, Appraisers, and other Vender's that do business with McCue Mortgage, and are invited by our Loan Officers. I invited two Realtors who's office is located near McCue Mortgage Valerie Osterhoudt and Silvia Garafalo. When I invited Valerie and Silvia I did not realize that I was inviting two ringers, they are more then just pretty good.
Everyone had a good time and we raise $3,200 for the Connecticut Humane Society. Many of the departments are already planning their holes for next year, and I am hoping to have Valerie and Silvia back, as well as a few more Realtors that I do business with.

George,
You should have invited me and you could have been my proxy player:)
Neal and George.. I'm glad you too are friends. Your comments about each other keep me entertained.
George.. Thank you for inviting me.. I had a great time.. it was a lot of fun. I can't believe I got a hole-in-one. What I'm really happy to see is that $3,200 was raised for such a good cause.
Valerie,
George lives too far for me not to like him...but I bet we'd play a good round of golf.
Neal, Maybe George will invite you to next years mini golf fundraiser. You can come north and make a long weekend out of it. Of course on George's expense account. LOL.
Just make sure I fly first class on Jet blue so I can watch TV on the way:)
George - My invite get lost in the mail?
Well, I have yet to see video of you or Neal playing so we REALLY don't know just how good you are do we? LOL.
That was for a good cause George and I'm sure they appreciated that!
George - What a creative way to have a lot of fun and raise some money for a great cause. Remind me never to take any of you ringers up on a game of golf!
Neal, golf by proxy, now there is a thought :)
Valerie, glad you had a good time, you looked like a natural at it.
Neal & Valerie, looks like you two are having to much fun spending my money :)
Sandra, this year I tried to keep it to Realtors close to the Office, but I promise to invite you and Dan next year. But in the mean time how about our Luncheon in December at the Convention Center, I would be happy to send you and Dan an invitation to that.
Sally, I don't no, but something tells me that Neal does not like to share or play nice ....... LOL
Donna, Valerie was the first one to go in our group and she got a hole in one right off the bat.
George, It is a lot more fun than spending mine. LOL.
Valerie, thanks I will remember that ...... LOL
George - That sounds like such fun. I am sure each department tried to come up with a better hole than the other. A great social event and to think you raise some money for a worthy cause.
Jennifer, yes they do try to out do each other, because those that participate vote for what they thought was the most creative hole.
I need a few strokes on my handicap since I haven't been able to pick up my clubs in a really long time...I'm afraid at what my score would be now.
George.. Were any pictures taken of the creative holes? Maybe you could post some of those too.
Neal the last time I played on a real golf course was in the early "70's", and I remember something about them asking me to never come back ....... LOL
Valerie I will have to see if there are any pictures of some of the holes, if there are I will do a follow up post.
George -- I am just waiting for the video of the winning shots! I think this is a great way to raise funds! Very creative and you don't have to worry about the weather! I think it is a good marketing idea as well. It sounds like a great success!
Joan, yes I think that it has been well recieved by everyone. And the different departments at McCue really seem to get into it.
George: Sounds like you guys had a wonderful time and also raised money for a very good cause.
Dianne yes we did, thank you for stopping by.
George, How much fun is that?? What a terrific idea? Bill McCue does a good job networking and fundraising at the same event:)
It's a Good Life!
Fran
George,
I figured they thought you looked good in your golf outfit that they ask you to caddy or even become head greens keeper.
Frances, yes Bill is in his element when he is doing those things.
Neal, I'll have you know that I could do a good job at both those things ....... LOL
I really like this idea.....mind if I copy it :)
Kathy, I missed another one of your comments.
Please feel free to use the idea :) :) :)
George, what a neat idea! And to find out that you know Valerie! She did a community yard sale a few weeks ago. I follow her blog posts too. I feel like I've gotten to know some great real estate industry pros here on Active Rain, just by reading their interesting and informative posts. I'm glad you had fun!
Jen I have been on ActiveRain a little more than two years now and meeting new people across the country is a big plus.
Awww nice picture George! And that 'the cat that ate the canary' smile LOL
Carol you can't possibly be talking about me :) :) :)
