Down but Steady -- Big Island Land Sales from October 2003 to October 2008

The Big Island of Hawaii Land Sales are down from their 5 year peak, but they remain steady with the bulk of the number of land sales taking place in our Puna District. Our Puna District is about 500 square miles in size. In Puna, a small lot of about 8,000 square feet can be purchased for about $8,000 and a 3 Acre Lot can be purchased for about $35,000.

Below is a chart that shows the number of Land Sales on the Big Island of Hawaii. The data are over the last 5 years, starting with October 2003 and ending in October 2008. More sales data and info can be found at LocalHawaiiRealEstate.com (Data Source: Big Island MLS)

What a great graph.  It has to be of great use to buyers and sellers.  Thanks for the info and enjoy the weather,  I sure do miss it.
