LahainaThings to do while in West Maui:

  • Historic Lahaina Walking Tour - There are 31 official sites in Lahaina Town that comprise the historic tour created by The Lahaina Restoration Foundation and County of Maui Historic Commission.
  • Atlantis Adventures - This submarine ride is a must!
  • Banyan Tree Park - This tree is well over 100 years old. It is 60 feet high and covers 200 feet of space. Every first and third weekend, you can find local artistsans showing their work beneath the shade.
  • Ka'anapali Beach - Along with Wailea, this is the resort hotspot of the island.
  • Kaanapali Golf Courses - Comprised of two separate 18-hole courses, this golf resort is almost as much of a tourist attraction as Ka'anapali Beach or even bustling downtown Lahaina.
  • Sugar Cain Train - In the early days of Hawaii's Western colonization, trains were used to haul sugar cane from one spot to the other. The handsome cherry-red Sugar Cane Train still travels the line between Kaanapali and Lahaina.
  • Trilogy Excursions - There are six sailing catamarans in this fleet. They depart from Ka'anapali, Lahaina Harbor and the neighbor island of Lana'i.
  • Old Lahaina Luau - Regarded as one of Hawaii's best luaus, this West Maui spectacle has been featured in National Geographic Traveler and many other publications.
  • Jodo Mission - While not everyone knows that an active Buddhist mission is located in downtown Lahaina, almost everyone knows about the gigantic Buddha statue in front of it.
