The Greater Erie Board of Realtors released the October 2008 real estate sales figures for Erie County. Sales figures include all Erie County properties in which a transfer tax was paid including residential, commercial, investment and land. The sales total for October was $42,810,390 with 382 transactions. This is down from October 2007 when sales totaled $50,540,472 with 437 transactions. The October 2006 sales were $47,279,377 with 432 transactions.

The Greater Erie Board of Realtors released the September 2008 real estate sales figures for Erie County. Sales figures include all Erie County properties in which a transfer tax was paid including residential, commercial, investment and land. The sales total for September 2008 was $41,305,685 with 391 transactions. This compares to September 2007 when 352 properties were sold for $41,605,601. This is only the second time this year that the number of transactions were up over the previous year but the year over year dollar amounts have been down all nine months. Going back even further, in September 2006, there were 461 transactions for a total of $48,780,110 and 520 sales totaling $53,922,838 for September 2005.

Sales figures include all Erie County properties in which a transfer tax was paid including residential, commercial, investment and land. The sales figures for August 2008 was $47,577,563 with 422 transactions. This compares in August 2007 when 533 properties were sold for $67,275,094. This was the sixth straight month in which transactions and sales were down compared to last year.
