"Spring Just Won't Come to Idaho Falls" Pictures

Well... here it is, the eve of May 1st and we are at 32 degrees with the ground covered in snow. I have been putting off pulling out my camera because of this horrendous winter/spring we have had.

I am ready for the shutterbug to bite, I hope the lingering cold/snow does not chase it away. So I pulled out the camera to see what would happened.

I have photography in my blood but have never really explored it.

Reading (and seeing) pictures others have posted on AR has inspired me deeply. Thanks to all those who share.

Idaho Falls chamber of commerce YPN group

Last night was our monthly event for the Young Professionals Networking group. It was held in O'Callahan's Restaurant inside The Shilo. We had a great turn out, about double the amount that showed up last time.

There was a brief educational insight, (presented by this months sponsor: Intelligent Employment Solutions), on how to higher the right employees. Most the night was spent socializing and having a great time getting to know other young professionals in the area.

This has been our 4th event for the newly sprung group.

(The Young Professional's Network is a program organized by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce for community members aged 21 to 40 for the purpose of professional and social networking.)

NEW Young Professionals Network Group in Idaho Falls!

The Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce has organized a group for 21 to 40 year old professionals. (They don't card at the door by the way).

This group is called the Greater Idaho Falls Young Professionals Network.

We meet on the last Thursday of each month at a local restaurant from 5:30 to 7:30 PMwhere we socialize and get to know other young professionals in the community. It provides an opportunity for networking at a free event where food and drinks are provided by monthly sponsors. Tentatively, we are looking at having a short presentation at each event that will help us educate each other.

If you are in the greater Idaho Falls area and are interested in being a part of this socializing/networking/learning group then please contact Merrie at the Chamber office. It is still in development and the format is evolving, based on feedback from the group.

You can also get "LinkedIn" to the group here.

Clark Family Benifit, hosted by Glenn Beck

If you have not heard, radio and TV personality Glenn Beck is coming to the Civic Auditorium here in Idaho Falls on Feb. 1, 2008 to host a benefit for the Clark family. The story about the Clark family is unbelievableand when Mr. Beck was visiting Rexburg he met the family of 6. The mother is the only one able to work as her husband is sick and they have 4 grown children in wheelchairs with MS. The couple did have one daughter without the disease but she has passed away recently.

Whether you plan to attend the event or not please check out the site below. It will give you a new appreciation for your life!

100% of the proceeds will go to the Clark family. Glenn is flying out at his own expense to preform this act of charity.

Idaho Falls Emergency Rate Alert!

If you are looking to refinance or buy a house then rates are at incredible levels right now. I would love to post the rate but it is changing every day, getting lower and lower.

The media would have you believe that the sky is falling but today you could possibly be looking at the mid 5's on a home loan.

The silver linning is here in Idaho and now is the time to act! If you are here locally in Idaho Falls, Ammon, Rigby, Blackfoot or the surrounding area then I can meet with you today to help you plan for your financial future. Call today, we may not see these rates for long!
