Our Puna District is about 500 square miles in size. In Puna, a small lot of about 8,000 square feet can be purchased for about $8,000 and a 3 Acre Lot can be purchased for about $35,000.

My name is John Petrella. I am an Accredited Buyer's Representative, a Graduate of the Realtor Institute and a full time licensed BROKER REALTOR® in the State of Hawaii.
Prior to my career in Real Estate, I managed and taught on the East Coast of the United States for over 20 years in a engineering research and teaching facility for a major university in down town Washington DC. For summer fun I worked at NASA/GSFC on remote sensing projects. Before my engineering career at the university, I served several years in the USAF as a technician. While in the USAF, I was stationed in Alaska (6 miles above the Artic Circle!), Alabama, Arkansas, Montana, Mississippi, Texas, Germany and Korea.
I know first hand what it is like to move to the Big Island, buy land and then build a home. I am so very happy to call the Big Island home!
