Salt Lake County is an incredibly diverse valley full of every amenity imaginable. You can go 15 minutes in any direction and find great shopping, resturaunts, theaters, museums, hiking trails, incredible canyons as well as world renowned skiing. The Salt Lake Valley was settled in the late 1800's where the building began on the east side of downtown and spread south of there. The east side of the valley is where you will find many of your historical homes and neighborhoods. The west side of the valley is where you will find many of the new developments and neighborhoods such as Daybreak and other newer developments. You can find newer homes and historical homes in almost any part of the valley.
Salt Lake County is home to professional sports teams such as; The Utah Jazz NBA Team, the Salt Lake Buzz baseball, The Utah Blaze Arena football, The Utah Grizzlies hockey, and the Salt Lake Reál soccer as well as the new Real Soccer Stadium being constructed in Sandy City. Salt Lake is also home to the University of Utah, Ballet West, LDS Temple Square and the world renowned Huntsman Cancer Institute. Salt Lake County is home to 910,000 residents, 14 cities within its borders, 15 canyons and 4 world class ski resorts. The valley neighborhoods vary from the more urban style neighborhoods where many walk, ride bikes or buses to get around, to a more suburban atmosphere where there are soccer fields, baseball parks and walking trails. All are a reasonable proximity to the amenities of the valley. Salt Lake County is home to various cities such as; West Jordan, Holladay, Sandy, Sugar House, Riverton, Millcreek, Murray, South Jordan, Draper, and many more.
