Thanks for your comments!

Thanks to all of your kind words! Kentucky is a wonderful place and yes Alcoa is over in Evansville, In-just across the river. You can check out my web site at http://www.kathleencope.com/ and I have a list of events posted there for Henderson, owensboro, and Evansville, Indiana area. The summer is always fun here in Henderson. The kick off is TriFest which is in April, the the Bluegrass Festival, WC Handy Festival, every Friday night happenings at the river-oh I could go on and on. Good to hear from all of you!

As far as real estate, it is definately a buyers market. There are still homes for sale and the people that buy right now will be glad they did in a few years. Like the stock market, prices go up and down all the time.

have a great weekend everyone!

My first Blog!

This is my first blog so if I seem a little timid-uh I am.

I am a Henderson Ky real estate agent. I have worked in real estate for 12 years but only moved to Henderson 5 years ago and we love Henderson.

Henderson, Ky is home to many famous people, WC Handy, John James Audubon, the minister that married Johnny Cash and June Carter plus so much more.

If you ever plan a trip to northwest Kentucky check out Henderson, Ky! It is a quaint town of about 25,000 people who still prefer the laid back type of life. When you want to sit in the park by the river, watching the boats go back and forth (yes even the Belle of Louisville, Mississippi Queen and Delta Queen make frequent stops here!) and stroll downtown to the antique shops and small business that are the heart of Henderson. Stay at the many Bed and Breakfast Inn's located on the river.

Abounding with night life activities, movie theatre's, restaurants and pubs, Evansville and Owensboro are just 15 minutes away.

Real Estate in Henderson is doing well. We are not affected like larger cities and states such as California, Florida, etc. Our average sale price is around $115,000 and average days on the market is around 110. The homes we have for sale currently range from at $699,000 estate belonging to the former Ellis Park founder to $15,000 fixer-uppers.

Have more questions about Henderson, let me know! This is fun and I hope to hear from you!
