It's an important decision to buy, sell or refinance real estate. As a broker, my job is to support you by providing valuable insight and expertise so you can make an informed choice.
Hi! My name is Kevin, and I live in Dover, Delaware with my wife, Angie, and our five kids, Tate, Torey, Chris, Melissa and Ryan. We have two granddaughters, Areanna and Alecia.
I played rugby for many years in South Africa, Minnesota, Texas and here in Delaware. I have coached and refereed for 12 years. I play golf when I can, not as much as I would like, and I am a member of Rotary and Toastmasters International.
I haven't always been a mortgage planner. I owned a computer company for many years, as well as doing some public speaking and facilitation. I grew up in South Africa and have been a US citizen since 2004.
I love what I do, befriending, encouraging and helping people reach their personal goals. I see my job as helping you find the right home loan option that works for you. I believe strongly in educating my customers on all the various aspects of the buying process, credit, home ownership and leveraging equity for financial growth.
I also have a great network of Realtors that I work with, so if you'd like to buy or sell a home anywhere in Delaware, please contact me and I'll refer you to a real estate professional that you can trust.
One thing that makes me unique and different from other loan officers is that I've spent a small fortune and thousands of hours studying business, marketing, and sales mastery. I look up to leaders in my profession and apply not only what they teach, but more importantly, I apply what they do in there own businesses.

I would like to thank Mr. Phillipson and his dedicated staff for all of their hard work and dedication to help me achieve my goals of financing my home. My financial situation wasn't the best due to a divorce after many years of marriage, left with reduced income, and many bills and 3 children to raise; 2 of them in college. I struggled for close to 2 yrs to maintain and needed to find a way to get ahead. Mr. Phillipson showed me a way to consolidate outstanding debts and to elevate my financial strains so that I could maintain the residence for my family. The process went smoothly considering all the last minute problems that arose and we were able to complete the financing in a timely manner. My financial situation is improving and I owe a huge thanks to Mr. Phillipson and his staff for helping make my dreams possible. Karen

Presently I'm sitting in my condo overlooking the Yampa Valley in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The Holidays are now complete; decorations were tucked away for another year prior to leaving Delaware for the Rockies. This in order for our youngest daughter to attend snowboard training with an Olympic club that has boasted champions such as Billy "The Kid" Kidd and over 100 other medalist.
The beautiful snowy mountains are inviting me to reflect back on the year of 2006 which financially for our family did not start very well. My wife is a very accomplished Chef and was release unexpectedly from a position she had held for over six years, it seems the owners had other plans. This was very disconcerting for us having a mortgage, routine monthly obligations and our oldest daughter away in her second year of college in South Carolina. However we were confident that the "ship" would right itself and it would not be very long until my wife would be gainfully employed, after all her skills were unmatched in this small resort town. As the winter weeks passed and turned into months, spring was finally upon us, unfortunately employment was not, we did what we were supposed to do, I made sure all of our creditors were paid on time and the tuition covered, unfortunately our savings were deleted and now using any available credit we had in order to make our commitments safe.
Finally at the Memorial Day holiday our prayers were answered and my wife was awarded a position at a private country club, now it was time to remove this short term debt that was acquired over the last five months, after all we now had excellent employment and no late payments. Wrong. We were shocked to find that after all we had been through our FICO scores had dropped below the majority of lender requirements; even our personal bank in which we had acquired our homes construction loan would not consider our application. Midsummer seemed like a carryover from the winter; we could not believe we had come this far only to have the world crash down on us, we felt abandoned by the very lenders that we kept our commitments too.
One day in July I receive a phone call from an individual from a mortgage company, of course at this time we were very down with our situation, every time someone made a promise to us and checked our credit scores not only did we get rejected but our scores lowered due to the lender inquiring. This individual though seemed honest and enthusiastic; his demeanor over the phone was sincere and requested an appointment at our house to go over our situation. That was the first time we met Kevin Phillipson and what a God send he was to our family. After that first interview in which we went through the year's dilemma and financial records he made a plan for us to move forward and to rectify our problems. We found ourselves putting our trust and faith in this person it was basically the last hope. After dozens of denials, rejections and months of sleepless nights, it was only Kevin Phillipson who made good of his promise to me, to my wife, to our family. He promised he would work diligently on our request, asking us to be patient and he would succeed. Succeed my goodness what a beautiful thing that would be.
Sitting here now seems almost surreal, only a short six months ago all seemed lost with no place left to go. How totally opposite has life changed since that phone call from Kevin Phillipson. Thanksgiving was certainly a holiday for thanks; Christmas had never seemed so special since days of being in the military during the Vietnam conflict. As I sit here overlooking the Rocky Mountains I feel that someone somewhere listened and when all seemed lost made sure Kevin Phillipson made that important phone call to us on that summer day in July, for that we will be eternally grateful to him.
Sincerely, Ray and Aileen
