Today, March 8, 2008, you have the opportunity to vote for improving schools across our parish. This is NOT a vote for new taxes, it is a School Board bond reauthorization for $167 million dollars. The proposal will allocate funding for various improvements such as: instructional technology, campus security, the building of 2 new schools, and extensive remodeling and renovations of 16 schools across St. Tammany Parish.
Please show your support for your school system by voting today to approve this reauthorization. Remember: THIS IS A RENEWAL OF EXISTING MILLAGE, NOT AN INCREASE IN TAX RATES.

Following a career as a Speech Pathologist in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools, in April 2007 I made a career change to Real Estate, which I have been longing to do for years. My first client was a non-profit organization in search of a new home. They purchased a commercial building in foreclosure by means of Bond for Deed. Speech Therapist: I received a BA in Communication Disorders from LSU and a MS in Communication Disorders from SLU. I worked as a speech therapist in St. Tammany Parish Public Schools for 7 years and private practice for 3 years. I continue to work part time as a speech therapist in a private clinic.
