Chocorua Village Improvements

For many years there has been a group of concerned citizens working to try to make Chocorua Village a safer place for drivers and pedestrians alike. Beginning June 1st those plans will begin to be put into reality. There will be sidewalks, crosswalks, street lights and an improvement in the traffic pattern. Hopefully these improvements will make it safer for the walking public and Route 16 traffic will realize they are going through a village and MUST slow down. In the summer this area is hazardous for cars and pedestrians alike, with visitors to the Dam Ice Cream Shop, the U.S. Post Office, the Chocorua Library, Runnells Hall and other businesses in the village, needing to cross the road. I will do my best to keep up with reports on this much needed project.

Good time to buy real estate

From my 20+ years experience in selling real estate, I would say NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY. There is a lot of inventory available and some of it has been on the market since last summer. Those sellers are getting more and more anxious to move on with their lives. Prices have been reduced and some sellers may be still willing to make more concessons, either in price or other extra insentives. Once all the snow is finally gone and the temperatures begin to rise, there will be more buyers out there looking around and, with more activity, sellers may not be so willing to give.

Winter in Tamworth, New Hampshire

Winter in New Hampshire!

Well here we are into the last day of February with yet another storm predicted for tonight and tomorrow. In certain locations we have already exceeded the recorded number of 100 or more inches of snow in a full winter with yet another 3 weeks till the first day of spring. Of course the start of spring does not mean the end of snow so only time will tell what will happen before the grass starts growing and the trees begin to bloom. Stay tuned for the next report. I'll try to have some pictures for you at next contact.
