Ok onward and upward, election is over. Now, we can get back to watching normal TV without a bajillion political ads....some days I would rather jab a sharp stick in my eye instead of seeing a continual stream of ads. The same thing over and over..... So, with that said, I am ready to get back to the optimistic aspect of getting out and selling homes. Why shouldn't we? Best interest rates in years, lots of inventory to select from, stock market is down, so get your money out of there and buy some real estate. My investors are wise, they are pulling money out of some of their stocks and buying rental property for passive income....With alot people losing their homes to foreclosure, there is a need for rentals right now. So, if you are wanting to invest in a pretty steady market, Central Texas is the name of the game.
Our old airport, Mueller Airport, has taken on new life as a city within the city of Austin. It sat lying vacant for many years as many acres of cold concrete. Deserted and isolated. But now, developers with a vision have breathed fresh air into a vital inner-city place to live for hundreds of people.
First came the Dell Children's Hospital (world renowned) for children's care second to none. It is a breath taking facility with the creme dela creme physicians and staff. Then big stores like were added: Old Navy, Best Buy and the likes, many restaurants and other shopping to complete the community. The feel is of a complete urban development with a commitment to green building and design. Walk to have coffee, shop or laze in one of the many park pockets.
There are a good mix of builders who have created a small town atmosphere, with a variation of product and design....where kids can run and play in parks, community pools and other amenities. Prices range from upper $200,000 to $700,000. A big plus for Austin's old dinasour parking lot. For more information about the Mueller Residential Project go to: www.MuellerAustin.com
I have been reading alot of your blogs and am hearing alot of the same statements regarding the weather. Spring has sprung in our area and bless your hearts some of you still have snow. I am so grateful to live in Central Texas, Round Rock, Tx to be exact, where we maintain green roughly 10 months out of the year.
I heard from a lady in Chicago who stated, its still dismal here, its still cold. Brrrrrrrrr. If it gets below 65 degrees here, I am in my sweat pants and have the ole gas logs a glowing. I admire those of you who can withstand the cold, snow, blizzard like weather but wouldn't trade there for here for a million dollars.
Here is what I did last weekend when it was a beautiful 80 degrees, sunshine, blue skies and a slight wind....I laid out by the pool, read my articles, over due magazines, got prepared for the next day showings and then I barbequed some of the best filet mignons I have had in a while.
Now I am not bragging, just boasting about my great state of Texas. Listed above are several reasons to get here as fast as you can!!
