Yesterday was the first day on my way to earning the GRI designation. It had better be worth it! I drove 2 hours in a snow storm (a drive that would normally take under 1 hour) to make the class. I arrived with 4 minutes to spare. The first 2 classes were very interesting. Basically it was information gained during my e-PRO classes, but I did learn about Orkut and picked up some great info on new technologies. You Tube video's of my listings are in the near future.
Day 2 starts at 8:30 today and ends with my first test. Wish me luck!
Just got a call from Sheila Walker at Herget bank. She let me kow that FHA loan rates just dropped to 5.5%! WOW!!!! Anyone interested in buying a home call now. Sheila can be contacted at office: 309-347-0271 or cell: 309-635-2398. She or any bank of your choice would be happy to help and see if you could get pre-approved for that rate. I would be happy to help you find a home that would meet FHA standards.
If you are thinking of putting your home on the market, let me know! Now might be a good time to do that also.
Started selling inApril 2008 and yesterday put me over the 1 Million mark! YAHOOO!!! 10 homes sold, 8 representing Buyers - 2 representing sellers. I have 1 pending that I got done yesterday and 3 homes in inventory.
I was apprehensive about selling the old business and starting in a new field, but it looks at this point that I will do good. I appreciate all those who have helped me in this journey. Buyers who had faith in me, sellers who gave the "new" guy a chance and all the agents who have mentored me.
More to come!

Above is the link to WEEk's story about the reveal. The Grys Family received a 4000 sqft home that is valued between $400,000 and $500,000. They are expected to have a taxe bill that will be around $800 a month starting in 2009.
Donations are still coming in to help pay off this families mortgage. I hope you have enjoyed reading about them and this great time in their lives. I am looking forward to watching the episode when it airs in December or January.
Today is the day that the Grys family gets their new home! It should be somewhere around 2pm. Parking for viewers is in the Sears parking lot. Shuttle buses are there to get spectators to the showing area.
Here is a story from yesterday's Pekn Times
