Long and Foster Foxcroft remains the Home of Homeownership! Even in these difficult times, real estate can still be a sound investment. What is it the analyts say? Stay the course. I have seen many difficult times in real estate: the early 1980's when interest rates were above 17%, the early 1990's when sales were low and rates were still at 10%, 2005 when pricing was astronomical. As I have counseled agents and consumers over the years, one fact remains constant. We all need somewhere to live. If the consumer is thrifty, and the payment is affordable, buying real estate can still be a long term investment. We built our home in the late 1980's, and we still are in the positive on appreciation. Time can take care of some negative issues. So if you still do not own a home, it may be the time. Rates are VERY LOW, pricing is GREAT! Think about giving real estate a look, you will be glad you took the time! Consult one of my agents, they are the best in the business! We make working with Long and Foster Foxcroft EASY!
Well, if you have been watching the stock market and Wall Street you are "All Shook Up"! The financial world out there has had tremendous turmoil, and as each of us watch we wonder "how does this affect me?" The only thing I know for sure is that I want to be a homeowner in WV, and in the United States. I believe that homeownership is one of the basic freedoms that Americans have, and it is one of the last that I am willing to give up! I know that the marketplace has not had much positive, but I believe that real estate is still a good investment over time, and I am willing to work hard to achieve the goal of owning! If you have the same ideals as me, you need to contact one of the hard working agents at Long and Foster Foxcroft. I believe that my agents, along with my loan officer Cindy Smith/Prosperity Mortgage, can help you achieve your financial goals, without endangering your sanity! I know that the agents at Long and Foster Foxcroft strive every day to make your number one goal happen. If you want honest, loyal, hardworking REALTORS....this is the place to find them!

Well, it is STILL a great time to purchase real estate!! Even radio announcers, who shall remain nameless--but play the piano and tell us how to live a good life, say real estate is still a good investment. Prices have now come to a place that buyers can afford more home. And buyers are getting an interest rate that still is affordable. WV still has homes priced in the $140,000.'s. That is amazing to me as a 30 year REALTOR! When you hear consumers talk about their own home, look them in the eye and you will know what a wonder it is to own! In WV, the American Dream of homeowning is alive and well. Think of your payment if you buy in the middle $100,000.'s. So, the moral of my story is buy a home to live in. You will have an investment in your financial future, as well as an investment in your happiness. If you ever have any questions about owning a home in WV, feel free to call me up at 304-263-7800.
